Slowly, but surely, we are experiencing one more state at a time. It is always exciting to find out what each state has to offer; weather, trees, flowers, animals, people, history, experiences and on and on!
Our first stop in South Carolina brought us to Myrtle Beach. I was SO excited to see the Atlantic Ocean for the FIRST time!
From our campground, we walked through a little trail, leading to these dunes.....
To find this! The Atlantic!!
Even though it was in the high 60's, the kids HAD to get in the water. ;) CRAZY!
I sat, comfortably watching my kids running in and out of the freezing water.
My big, little man and my little, little man. :)
Another day, we walked out to the beach as the sun was setting.
The beach is truly one of the most peaceful places on earth. :)
We had such a nice visit in the Myrtle Beach area. We also visited South Shore Community Church while we were here. The church service was such a blessing, and the people were so friendly and welcoming, too.
Blessings,
Steph
We think what you are doing with the children is wonderful. As old timers we are thrilled when we see some of what this great country of ours has to offer, can only imagine how the children must feel. We saw a group of "Fultime Families" at Timonthy Lake/Outdoor World this passed Sept. In Charleston the fish hatchery and the Angle Oak and the Tea Plantation are free and they all have a picnic area(not sure about the Tea Plant.but I think so). The Angle Oak was a spiritual experience for us. You can't help but get move by seeing the splender of Gods creations. In Charleston we purchased a walking tour book at the visitor center for about $7. In Savannh we did the same and the book was about $5. Great way to see the historic area without a lot of cost.
