We are in California, state #15!!! We went to Crescent City to visit the Redwood National & State Park!
It was an absolutely, with out a doubt, jaw-dropping of a time!
This IS a trunk of ONE, yes, ONE tree!
The kids seemed to really love this place. :) Zach said that it is his most favorite so far!
There are so many trees to climb on, hide in, walk on and just be plain silly!
Some of these trees are around 2000 years old!
Even Star Wars was filmed here! :)
The Redwood forest was just beautiful. Every turn had some interesting or unique sight to appreciate.
As we were strolling on our hike through Stout Grove, we happened upon this gorgeous creek.
Hannah found this cute little guy. :) (no dissecting this time!)
This tree is literally hollowed out. The kids crawled through it, coming out the opposite end!
Did I mention they had time to be silly?
AH- YA! :)
We also earned our Jr. Ranger badges!
Only in this program, can one have thy thumb in thy mouth, while repeating thy oath of Rangers! :)
Blessings,
Steph
