Evergreen Air & Space Museum

While we were in McMinnville, OR., we went to Valley Baptist Church, and met with the Pastor and his family, and enjoyed their last fellowship of the summer.  It was on a beautiful hillside, farm with nearby vineyards in the background.  It almost looked like something in Italy, not Oregon!  :)  The kids had a great time making friends, playing volleyball, badminton, soccer, and eating yummy, home-cooked dishes.  We also had a fun time with a family that invited us over for dinner one evening.  They have a small farm, complete with a ZIP-LINE!!!  It was such a great time of fellowship and encouragement.  (Thank you!)  :)

While we were in the area, we found out that there is a museum on our reciprocal list, so I checked into it, and sure enough, FREE!  I love free.  :)

This is a great museum!  It actually encompasses 4 buildings; one for space, one for air, one for Imax, and one for a waterpark.  :)  We only went to the air and space museums, but the others also looked like a lot of fun.
From Leonardo De Vinci's 'flying' drawing plans.....

To fighter planes and the 'Black Bird'.....
To Howard Hughes,' "Spruce Goose!"  (the flying boat!  made of birch!)

This museum was AWESOME!

There are SO many interactive games, experiments and similators!  FUN!  &  FREE!!

Even some time for silly girls to see what happens when you put controlled air pressure on your face! :)
I know.  Kinda scarey......

Here, Zach is trying to land the Space Shuttle.......

Tanner is moving a robotic arm....

Hannah and Emily are shooting off rockets by building up air pressure.

Outside, there is a fun playground too!

Thanks so much Valley Baptist Church for your hospitality and fellowship!
Blessings,
Steph
