Super Fun Time at Slide Rock State Park!
In Sedona, AZ., there is a natural spring that roars through the red boulders, creating a wonderful 'slide.'
Now, keep in mind, that it is about 80 degrees outside, and about 50 degrees in the water!!
Yes, these crazy kids are mine. :) Such a proud, Mommy moment.....
Is he smiling, or is he just extremely COLD?!
The Harper family went with us, we all had such a great time! The kids were such troopers, and Janet and I just laughed and laughed. :)
The force of the water, combined with the slippery rocks, gave the kids a natural water slide like no other!
Of course, Tanner and Todd had to conquer!!
Did I mention that the water was VERY cold?
Parker had more gusto than me! I stuck my big toe in that water for one second, and I knew I was NOT getting in! HA!
Here is a picture of all 10 kids, and brave Dads that conquered Slide Rock! Whoo Hoo!!!
We all had so much fun, and it was an experience they will not forget!
Yes, we had to do a silly one!
Blessings,
Steph

ReplyDeleteThat water must of been freezing. I have a question since we also have a class a RV and plan on hitting the road in the next few months for a year. I was wondering if you have a tow vehicle with your RV? We do not and are now wondering if it is a mistake not to have one.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool to see your pictures!!!! As you know, I grew up in Flagstaff and we took so many trips to Sedona and slide rock! It was the place to go with my friends all through high school!!!! It is neat to see your family having fun there! It brought back memories!:) Love you all!
