Unexpected Fun!
Sometimes we will have an expectation. At Manatee Park, in North Fort Myers, Fl., I was hoping we would get to see the manatees swimming in the pond.
Unfortunately, all we could actually see was a shadow of a manatee. :(
But, we did see this creepy salamander!
And, we did see what an Air Plant looks like!
Of course, the kids found a way to act silly. :)
A volunteer gave a little 'talk' about the manatee and shared some interesting facts. Did YOU know that when a baby manatee is born, they weigh around 60 pounds!!
Parker is holding a rib. Cool.
These are the teeth. Did YOU know that they grow new teeth if they break?! Cool.
The big kids acted like the little kids.
It was a great outing, even if we didn't see the manatees. A beautiful day with sweet friends always seems to bring about SOME kind of adventure!
Blessings,
Steph

Living in Florida during my childhood, the manatees were always a special sight. I hope you get to see them someday. Thanks for sharing your adventures in sunny Florida!
