USS Lexington & National Seashore!!

Our first couple of days have been really fun and educational.  On our first outing, Todd and the boys went to the USS Lexington, while the girls and I hung out at the beach for the 1st time! :)  Todd took some great pics, and the boys said that it really was fun.  They took their time walking through the ship, and also road the simulator.

Even little Parker had fun walking in the "living quarters!"

I LOVE this picture of the chapel.  Can you imagine all the sincere prayers that our soldiers prayed in this room?

They LOVED the planes!

Here is my little soldier. :)  (actually, not so little any more! :( )

Yesterday, we went to Padre Island National Seashore and earned our FIRST Jr. Ranger badges and patches for completing the workbooks, and cleaning the beach!
Here, we are listening to one Ranger, who knew SO much about sea life and the area.  He was very patient and had many skeletons, shells, rocks, etc... that the kids could look at, and touch.  It was interesting. :)

After this short video about the sea turtles, the kids were sworn in, and recieved their badges.  Even Parker took this ceremony seriously! :)

Ranger Chelsea was so sweet.
Later that evening, I had to get a "silly" pic of this entrance to a shop, and then we had our "map" ceremony.

It's official!  We are truly, a full-time family!
We are learning a lot.  Not, only is this fun and educational, but we are working out a lot of kinks and growing in character.  It is truly stretching us in new ways, but I honestly see the Lord working and growing us for our good. :)

Blessings,
Steph
