Beautiful Sedona & Red Rock State Park

When I think of the desert, I usually don't think of something beautiful.  I imagine a dry, cracked soil with cactus and dead stuff everywhere.  :)

In Sedona, AZ., there is beauty around every turn.  Really.
There are mountain ranges, bright blue skies, dark green plants of many kinds, and a ton of wildlife!

We met a family, from Canada, at our campground, and decided to visit Red Rock State Park together!

They have a small, but great little museum that had many 'hands-on' exercises for the kids to explore.

We also went on a really nice hike and saw all kinds of bugs. :)  I was just glad we did not run into any snakes!  There are warning signs through out the park, so I was a little anxious.

The Harper Family also has 5 kids!  They all got along so great, and we enjoyed their company so much.

On the trail, the boys found these HUGE grasshoppers!

It was a beautiful day for a hike and making great friends!

The Harper Family and the Golden Gang earned a Jr. Ranger badge!  YEAH!

Blessings,
Steph
