Tybee Island, GA. & The Crab Shack!

Tybee Island is a little place, north of Savannah, GA.  Even on a dreary, rainy day, the oldest standing, working lighthouse is beautiful.  It was first lit in 1736!!

Right across the street is Fort Screven that was used during WWI and WWII.

After some sight seeing, and thrift store shopping, we worked up an appetite.  So, we went to the locals' favorite seafood restaurant; The Crab Shack!

"Where the elite eat in their bare feet!"

It is like NO OTHER place to eat!  Such a fun atmosphere.  :)

Where else can you go to feed your family AND the alligators?!

Too cool.

Look at them all!!

There was also a really fun 'Bird Shack' where we talked with the exotic birds.  Bonnie was definitely our favorite.

Then, came the moment we were all waiting for......

OH YEAH!!

LOADS of crab, muscles, crawfish, shrimp, corn on the cob, sausage and potatoes!!!

We were in Seafood HEAVEN!  YUM!

Blessings,
Steph
